Simple Tips for Healthy Weight Loss

Losing weight is no mean task, especially if you want to lose weight in a healthy manner. But if you follow these simple tips, you can surely end up on the winning side. Weight loss or fat loss is just not about intake of fewer calories, but also about burning more calories than you take in, that too in a healthy manner.
When it comes to healthy weight loss, there are so many myths and misconceptions surrounding this topic, that we are really left confused as to what is really right or wrong for us. Here are some tips that can prove handy for those interested in healthy weight loss. Spot Reduction: For those trying for weight reduction or fat loss in the midriff area, the bad news is that "spot reduction" exercises just don't work. You just cannot exercise a particular body part and expect to lose fat around that area, since fat is always lost all over your body, and not just in the area that you work. Is Cardio-vascular exercise, or cardio, the best way to lose weight? The answer is both "yes" and "no". If you have been living a sedentary lifestyle and if you have more than 8 - 10 kg to lose, than doing as much cardio as possible will get you the quickest results. But for those individuals who lead active lifestyle, it is not possible to lose weight by cardio alone. If you are in normal shape, and want to lose weight at a consistent pace, your best bet is to focus on 1 long session of cardio-vascular exercises 45-50 minutes and 3 shorter bouts of high intensity interval cardio per week. But if you are in great shape and your main concern is losing a few pounds of body fat, your best bet would be to focus on 3 shorter bouts of high intensity interval cardio per week plus three or four quick bursts of active-recovery cardio-vascular exercises, with intervals lasting for 1-2 minutes. Which is the best form of exercise to lose weight? It is not easy to answer the question, but research has shown that aerobic exercise such as jogging, cycling or swimming whereby you use large muscle groups at a moderate intensity for a sustained period of time, can really help you to lose weight at a moderate rate, in a healthy manner. Weight training and weight loss: Experts all over the world agree that the most efficient and the healthiest way to lose weight is to combine cardio-vascular exercises with weight training. Weight training leads to increase in lean muscle mass, which in turn leads to increased basal metabolism rate (BMR), i.e. rate at which we burn calories even when we are resting. Then the question arises we should use supplements to lose weight. The answer to this question again is both "yes" and "no". If you start by taking supplements first, you teach your body to rely on these supplements for weight loss. But research shows that combining exercise with proper diet and certain supplements that are designed to accelerate your fat loss, are the best bet when it comes to losing weight, without causing any undue distress to your health.
